These straight bits have slightly rounded corners, creating a smooth, curved transition between the walls and the bottom of the resulting cove, rather than the sharply defined corner left by a standard straight bit.
Ideal for the lip of a raised panel or when rabbeting cases for inset doors, a small cove along the front edge of a shelf or cabinet creates a lighter appearance without sacrificing the thickness required for joinery.
Measurements given are cutter diameter by depth by shank diameter. Both sizes have a 1/32" corner radius.
