Featherboard

A featherboard keeps work tight against a fence and prevents kickbacks. One should always be used when ripping.

This adjustable model (made of hardwood, steel and aluminum) locks into a standard 3/4" table saw slot. It is equally useful in a router table if you have a style that you can rout a 3/4" slot into. It has 4 3/4" of lateral adjustment.
