The Festool HLC 82 cordless planer combines cordless mobility with the controlled cutting performance required for site work and shop use.

Designed for one-handed operation, it has straightforward depth adjustment and integrated V-grooves for cutting consistent chamfers. Its single-knife helical cutterhead produces smooth cuts with reduced noise and minimal chatter. Paired with Festool dust extraction, it also helps keep the work area cleaner during planing.

Compact and well balanced, it is suited to trimming doors, fitting panels, easing edges and general finish carpentry work. 


Features 

  • 18V power – runs best with Festool’s 5.0 Ah or 8.0 Ah Li‑HighPower packs for maximum run time and power
  • Works with all Festool 18V battery packs (except Ergopack)
  • Removable chamfer adapter speeds up accurate chamfers on beams and timbers
  • Quick‑acting brake stops the cutterhead in under 2 seconds to reduce the risk of damage to the workpiece
  • Plane quicker and deeper with up to 3/32" (2.5mm) chip removal and 1" (25mm) rabbet depth
  • Spiral blade delivers smooth, chatter‑free surfaces that cut down on resanding
  • Connect the extraction hose on either side so it’s never in your way
  • Ergonomic design keeps the planer steady and easy to guide
  • Dual extraction channels handle continuous, large‑scale chip removal with ease
  • Brushless EC‑TEC motor delivers constant performance, even at full depth
  • Dial in depth quickly, even mid‑cut
  • Spiral blade design keeps noise levels down for a more comfortable worksite
  • Three integrated 90° V‑grooves make chamfering edges simple and precise
