Weighing just 3.5kg (7.7 lb), it has a well-balanced, ergonomic design that makes it easy to handle. It has a rear port for connection to a 1" diameter vacuum hose, and a pattern of holes in the platen distributes suction across the entire sanding disc, extracting dust right at the source to greatly reduce clean-up time.
Its head pivots 180°, which, combined with the vacuum suction, helps maintain flush contact with the wall, so you can approach the work from a comfortable angle without the risk of digging in. At 47" long, the sander lets users of average height use a broad, sweeping motion to easily reach from floor to ceiling in most residential interiors without stooping or using a ladder. We also offer a 19 1/2" extension (available separately) that threads on the end of the pole for even greater reach.
The sander’s 250W brushless motor has seven speeds from 4000 to 8000 rpm. The 9" diameter platen and aggressive 5mm orbit pattern permit rapid sanding of large surfaces, while the platen’s bevelled sides help avoid contact with adjacent surfaces when sanding close to an inside corner. It has a noise rating of 73 dB as well as low vibration output (2.5m/s²) and pairs with the myMirka app to monitor long-term vibration exposure.
