Built for professional use, this sander combines a powerful 750W brushless motor and a 6" platen to smooth large surfaces efficiently.
It has seven speeds in a range from 700 to 2500 rpm. You can either lock in the chosen speed for continuous operation without having to hold down a button, or use it in the unlocked setting, which lets you stop the tool within seconds as soon as you release the button. It also has a “ramp-up” mode that gradually increases speed when you turn the tool on to avoid damaging surfaces.
At 4 1/2" tall and weighing 1.8kg (just under 4 lb), the sander has an ergonomic design that minimizes strain when working for extended periods. It has a noise rating of 61 dB as well as very low vibration output (1.6m/s²), and pairs with the myMirka app to monitor long-term vibration exposure.
A rear port connects to a 1" diameter vacuum hose, and a dust shroud surrounds the platen to help capture dust at the source.
The platen is compatible with Mirka’s Abranet Ace HD, Ultimax Ligno, Iridium and Galaxy sanding discs, letting you select both the grit and the abrasive type to suit the application.
A small sample of abrasive discs (one each of 60, 80 and 120 grit Mirka Iridium and one each of 60 and 80 grit Abranet Ace HD) and a platen protector are included to get you started.
Backed by a 2-year warranty. Made in Finland.
Supplied with a Systainer case for organized storage and transport of the sander and discs. The sander is also available on its own without the case.
