Kreg’s line of Ionic Drive cordless tools runs on long-life lithium-ion batteries that deliver a combination of ample power and run time. The high-efficiency 20V brushless motors can power through difficult tasks without binding or stalling. Circuitry in the battery senses load on the motor and adjusts torque, delivering additional power in demanding situations and helping conserve battery life under lighter loads.
Paired with the Kreg 62" guide track (sold separately), this is a versatile, capable plunge-cut track saw that delivers straight, splinter-free cuts in solid wood as well as plywood and other sheet goods.
You can select from six motor speeds, letting you conserve battery power in thin, easily cut materials, or power through thick or hard stock. Maximum 2 1/8" cutting depth at 90°. Bevel-cutting capacity can be set from -1 to +47°, with a maximum cutting depth of 1 1/2" at 45°.
The saw comes with a thin-kerf 40-tooth carbide-tipped blade that is fully shrouded and retracts completely when not in use.
A retractable riving knife keeps the saw kerf open to reduce the risk of kickback. For additional kickback protection, you can set a spring-loaded biased pawl to contact the guide track, helping to prevent the saw from moving backwards. A brake stops the blade quickly when the power switch is released. The blade-left design is optimized for right-handed users to give superior cut-line visibility. Dust collection is provided by the 1 ¼” port, which connects to the included cloth bag or a shop vacuum.
Supplied with the saw, one 4.0 Ah battery and a standard charger. Also compatible with Kreg’s 2.0 Ah battery. Both the battery and charger have electronics that monitor temperature and voltage to ensure efficient charging, while protecting the battery from overheating or overcharging.
