Description
Effective for bonding and filling small cracks and voids in lighter-colored woods, this cyanoacrylate glue dries in seconds to a slightly translucent light-amber color to help disguise the repair in the surrounding wood. Alternatively, it is an excellent way to create distinctive accents by highlighting imperfections in reclaimed, spalted or burl wood while stabilizing the material.
With a medium-thin viscosity (150 cPs) similar to the consistency of motor oil, it penetrates voids up to 0.006" wide and bonds in 10 to 15 seconds. Curing time is longer when filling voids than when the glue is used as an adhesive due to the increased volume of glue applied to a void. For filling voids, building layers of glue alternating with accelerator is recommended to ensure full curing.
The glue comes with two applicator caps, a clog-resistant stopper, and eight precision microtips that fit over the dispensing nozzle to permit extremely accurate glue application. The microtips can be cut to a desired opening width and are good for more than one application if soaked in acetone immediately after use.
