09A0570 - Gray Slate, 4" x 4"
An excellent medium for crafts, slate is often used to make plaques and household items such as coasters. Slate is not affected by either water or frost, so is superior to marble in outdoor use.
This 4" × 4" slate has been wet-cut with a diamond saw and has smooth edges. Though completely smooth on one face, it may have some chipping next to one edge or the other.
The slate is split by hand and is about 1/4" to 3/8" thick.
