08K1927 - 6" Grip-Faced Soft Interface Pad
The 6" diameter by 3/4" thick interface pad is used in combination with hook-and-loop sanding discs for sanding rounded surfaces and contours.
Using the interface pad also produces a more consistent and even result. The interface pad is placed between the backing pad and the sanding disc.
The Mirka 6 grip-faced soft interface pad sits between the backing pad and a hook-and-loop sanding disc, and its extra-thick 3/4" cushion lets the disc flex into curves and contours for a more even, consistent result than sanding on a rigid pad alone.
A softer, thicker pad like this one is generally better suited to rounded profiles and delicate contours, since it compresses more readily to follow the shape of the work. A firmer, thinner pad is usually preferred for flatter surfaces where less give is wanted.
No, the interface pad is reusable across many discs. Replace it only once it becomes compressed, torn or no longer grips securely.
