08K1320 - 18-Pc. Sample Pack of 5" Galaxy Grip Disc
This 18-piece sample pack has three discs each of 80x, 120x, 180x, 240x, 320x and 400x.
Bonded to a polyester film, the ceramic grains on these discs are designed to fracture as they wear to continuously renew their cutting edges.
This not only improves the service life of the disc, but more important, it produces an exceptionally consistent scratch pattern. Suitable for use on a wide range of materials, including wood, epoxy, fiberglass, metal and painted surfaces, they have excellent edge wear resistance and are coated to resist clogging.
As the abrasive doesn’t break down into smaller particles and leaves such a consistent scratch pattern, it’s important to work through a progression of grits. The extended range of grits ensures an appropriate progression range for any sanding task.
Compatible with any 5" random-orbit sanders that have a hook facing. Made in Finland.
It has 18 discs total, three each of 80x, 120x, 180x, 240x, 320x and 400x grit. This 18-pc. sample pack of mirka 5 galaxy grip discs lets you try a full sanding progression before buying larger boxes of any single grit.
Because the ceramic abrasive doesn't break down into smaller particles as it wears, skipping grits leaves visible scratches instead of a smooth transition. Working through the full progression from coarse to fine keeps the surface consistent at each stage.
It fits any 5" random-orbit sander that has a hook facing, so it isn't limited to one sander brand. Just confirm your sander's pad uses a hook-and-loop attachment before ordering.
Yes, they're suited to wood, epoxy, fiberglass, metal and painted surfaces, and they resist clogging on all of them. That range makes one pack useful across several kinds of projects, not just woodworking.
The ceramic grains are designed to fracture as they wear, which continually exposes fresh cutting edges instead of dulling flat. That improves service life and keeps the scratch pattern consistent throughout the disc's use.
