Black Cherry (Prunus serotina) – A medium-density domestic wood with fine, even grain that turns and finishes well. Most pieces are straight grained, but some figured pieces exhibit curling grain. The heartwood is a light to medium pinkish brown; sapwood is a pale yellow.
Nominal measurements are 3/4" square by 6" long.
