Lacewood (Panopsis spp.) – A reddish brown wood with gray or tan rays that yield a striking dappled pattern when quartersawn. Although this gives the wood a moderately coarse, uneven texture, it is soft, light and generally straight grained, takes finish well and is fairly easy to turn.
Nominal measurements are 3/4" square by 6" in length.
