Ebiara (Berlinia spp.) – Also known as red zebrawood, it ranges from light pinkish tan to a deeper reddish brown streaked with darker grain. It typically has interlocking grain patterns but can also be straight grained, and although the dense, coarse-textured wood is prone to tear-out, it is relatively easy to turn with well-sharpened tools.
Sized for small turnings, this blank can also be useful when you need only a small amount of wood, such as for inlays, plugs, splines or other decorative accents.
