This dust port connects to a shop vacuum system. The 2 1/2" size is the nominal outside diameter of most shop vacuum hoses and fittings. The inside diameter (about 2 1/4") is tapered to allow a press-fit connection. The 3 5/8" × 4" backing plate is pre-drilled for mounting to a machine or custom jig.
