XC709 – Solar-Powered Pump with Wi-Fi Controller
This solar-powered watering system lets you automate watering in areas without access to a tap or household power. The pump draws water from a rain barrel, bucket or other reservoir and delivers it directly to your plants through emitters that can be arranged to fit your growing space. The included controller connects the pump to your home Wi-Fi and can be plugged into a TV, a computer or a USB adapter plug (you supply) for power.
Watering schedules can be programmed, monitored and adjusted remotely through an app. You can create up to six watering cycles per day, choosing specific start times, durations and watering days. A rain-delay function lets you pause watering for 24, 48 or 72 hours when rain is expected.
In sunny weather, the included solar panel fully recharges the battery in about 3 days, providing about 10 days of operation based on 20 minutes of watering per day. An indicator light shows when the battery is charging.
Each emitter delivers approximately 1ml per second (exact output can vary, depending on the number and placement of emitters, as well as the distance from the water source). Grouping plants by water requirements helps maintain consistent irrigation.
The system includes two 15m (49') lengths of 4mm (1/8") inside diameter main-line tubing and one 5m (16' 5") length of 3mm (3/32") inside diameter branch-line tubing, along with 15 micro emitters, 15 T-barb connectors, a cross connector, three end caps, an anti-siphon valve and an inlet filter. It also includes a solar-panel mounting bracket, a 3m (9' 10") lead wire, a pump backplate, two stainless-steel mounting screws, a USB-A to USB-C cable for direct charging if required, and a controller with USB cord.
The solar-powered pump and Wi-Fi controller are also available separately.
