Designed by a small Vermont firm that has been making dollhouses for over 40 years, this 1:12 scale (1"=1') kit makes it straightforward to build a dollhouse that will be cherished for many years to come.
This two-story Colonial Revival-style dollhouse has a cross-gabled roof, a bay window, and upper and lower porches. It can have up to eight rooms and measures 34 1/2" × 25" × 33" tall.
All components are precisely milled for a close fit – there are no cheap die-cut or stamped parts here. Large pieces such as walls and floors are made from 3/8" thick high-density fiberboard, while trim, railings, shingles and other small components are clear-grained, splinter-free pine that requires no sanding.
Everything except trimwork is supplied pre-cut, with grooved joints for strength and ease of assembly. Siding profiles are molded into the outer walls, creating an authentic look without the time-consuming task of applying siding piece by piece. Clear step-by-step instructions are supplemented by diagrams and tips to help ensure best results and avoid pitfalls along the way. Other than glue, paint and a few basic tools, the kit provides all the parts needed, as well as shingle dye.
Recommended for ages 13 as a kit-building project; finished model is not for children under 3 years.
