It includes a slöyd-style knife with a 3" blade and a bent gouge with a 7/8" wide blade. Supplied sharpened and honed, ready for use, the high-carbon steel blades allow precise, controlled cuts.
The 16" long, 2" thick roughed-out wooden blank is made of linden, chosen for its straight grain and fine, even texture, making it easy to carve. The kit also provides a food-safe linseed finishing oil, as well as sharpening abrasive, honing compound, a leather strop, a roll of high-friction guard tape to protect fingers and improve grip, a carving pattern, a pencil and a detailed instruction booklet that includes a QR code that links to an online video showing every step.
