Sharpening progress can be difficult to judge with the unaided eye. This compact 3.5X magnifier lets you examine the bevel and cutting edge closely, making it easier to see the grinding pattern, check whether the burr has been removed, and identify areas that need further attention.
A knurled ring at the top provides a small range of focus adjustment. The polished metal housing measures 1 1/4" in diameter by 1 1/4" high, making it compact enough to store with the rest of the HORL system.
