Functioning as a spacer for installing parquet, laminate or other types of floating floors, this specialized spreader clamp offsets the flooring material at a precise distance from the wall.
The lipped steel body registers against the edge of your first row of flooring, while a 3/8" dia. clamp screw bears firmly against the wall, letting you adjust the spacing anywhere in a range up to 1 3/8". You can use multiple spacer clamps all set to the same offset, or fine-tune the distance to compensate for irregularities in the wall surface.
The 5" wide lip distributes contact over a wide surface, helping minimize risk of slippage and damage to flooring edges, while the non-marring clamp pad pivots to register flush against the wall.
