There are many times when it is useful to have a steel tape fixed to a jig; a prime example is a chop-saw table where you want tapes reading right-to-left as well as left-to-right.
We offer both at a shade under 1/2" wide. They can readily be press-fitted into a shallow, 0.47" wide groove or they can be glued into wider slots. At 10' long, they are of ample length for most purposes and, at these prices, it is relatively painless to shorten one for smaller jigs.
