This variable-angle fence enhances the versatility of your Veritas plane by making it easy to accurately and consistently plane any angle from 45° to 135°.
Knurled stainless-steel knobs mount it to any of our planes that have threaded holes: the low-angle jack, custom bench, bevel-up jointer, shooting and jack rabbet planes. Adjustment is straightforward – simply loosen the locking screw and pivot the fence to the desired angle using a square, sliding bevel or set-up piece as your guide, then retighten the screw.
The torrefied maple side handle provides excellent control by letting you apply lateral force for positive registration and is shaped for a secure, comfortable grip. The fence and handle can be configured for right- or left-hand use, and the fence has threaded holes to store the mounting knobs. Through-holes in the 11" long anodized aluminum fence allow attachment of a wooden extension or a tapered spacer for angles less than 45°.
