05K8010 - Veritas Carver’s Seat-Vise

This seat-vise permits great range of motion to set your work at a comfortable height and angle, then holds it firmly in position while you carve.
It can be used on just about any flat surface where you can sit, held down by your own body weight for stability. Three independent four-arm knobs let you tilt and rotate the work or adjust the height (in a 2 3/4" range), then quickly tighten it in place. The 3" diameter face plate has four predrilled holes to mount your work with screws; you can also mount it with double-sided tape for finishing details or painting.
The entire upper assembly can also be detached from the 22 1/2" × 9 1/2" seat to be fixed to a surface up to 1" thick using its 3/8" diameter bolt. To attach it to a thicker surface, simply swap in a longer bolt (you supply).
Made in Canada from 11/16" thick Baltic birch plywood, with rounded corners and radiused edges on the seat portion. Assembly required; all hardware included.
