For use with the FastenMaster pro hot-melt gun, these two construction-grade adhesives let you choose a glue with the initial tack and working time best suited for the task. Each creates a strong, durable bond with the flexibility needed to allow for the expansion and contraction of wood over time. The adhesive strength is impressive – in our tests, we found that a row of small dots was effective in situations where you might normally lay out a continuous bead of glue.
Flex 40 tacks instantly, has an open time of 40 seconds, and cures to full bond strength in 5 minutes or less, suitable for situations where clamping your work is impractical or where you don’t need a longer open time to fine-tune the position of items being glued. Effective on a wide variety of porous and non-porous materials.
Flex 180 is also a fast-acting glue but allows a little more time to position the items being glued. It tacks within seconds of applying pressure, has an open time of 180 seconds, and cures to full bond strength in 8 minutes or less. Effective on a wide variety of porous and some non-porous materials.
Each adhesive comes in a package of 18 sticks, with a total coverage of approximately 90 linear feet.
