Unlike conventional trowels, this Japanese version combines features of a knife blade and a trowel. Designed to easily cut through roots and penetrate soil, it is ideal for dividing plants, weeding and transplanting.
The 7" long by 3 1/2" wide forged carbon-steel blade comes ground to a keen edge, and has a relatively flat profile, making it easy to maintain the edge with a file. The Japanese oak handle is fastened with a steel ferrule.
Set includes two trowels: one with a 7" handle and one with a 17 1/2" handle for extra reach.
