If you are old enough to remember wanting one of the gyroscopes that were advertised in comic books, here is your chance to finally own one. Unchanged since they were first made in 1917, they precess a bit but still do all the things you expect of a gyroscope – balance on a string, hang horizontally in a loop of string, stand on the head of a pin, etc.

The fixed frame has one post that is slotted at the end, and the other post is concave to enable a range of tricks illustrated in the instructions, including joining the two together. It can be set spinning much more easily than a top and usually for longer. Each comes with its own stand so that two can play.

The box has the same graphic design as used in the 1950s. Suitable for ages 8 and up.

Made in USA.
