Item 60T0301, Standard Dozuki
  • 17 tpi Crosscut Blade: Fine teeth cut more quickly than most conventional saws while leaving a smooth kerf – suited to tenons, dovetails and other joinery cuts.
  • Thin Blade: At 0.011" thick with a 0.018" kerf, the blade removes minimal material and tracks precisely in the cut without excessive waste.
  • Secondary Bevel Teeth: Tiny secondary bevels on the tooth tips reinforce the cutting edge so teeth stay sharp longer between resharpenings.
  • Short Uncut Tip: A short uncut portion at the blade tip makes starting a cut easier, particularly useful when crosscutting to a scribed line.
  • Generous Cutting Depth: Maximum cut depth of about 2" handles typical bench joinery stock including tenon cheeks on thick material.
  • 21" Overall Length: Balanced for comfortable bench use with a full-size handle suited to extended joinery work.

Our most popular saw in the Japanese line is the dozuki. It can be used for tenons, dovetails and other joinery cuts.

The fine teeth (17 tpi) and the thin blade combine to give a very smooth cut. At the same time, it cuts more quickly than almost any conventional saw. The blade is only 0.011" thick and gives a kerf of 0.018". The tiny secondary bevels give the teeth strong tips that do not dull easily.

The 9 1/2" long blade has a short uncut portion on the tip that makes starting a cut easier. Maximum cut depth of about 2". 21" overall.
