Founded in 1981, Misenheimer has built its reputation supplying precision tooling to woodworkers, cabinetmakers and CNC operators. Made in the USA from solid carbide and honed on 600x diamond wheels, these bits cut with a continuous shearing action to reduce chatter, leaving crisp, clean edges with minimal tear-out.
Their helical down-cut flutes draw chips toward the tip, leaving a clean edge on the face of the work that’s nearest the shank. For minimal material removal and shallow cuts, a down-cut bit is often preferable but typically requires slower travel.
To aid chip clearance, a series of notches along the helical cutting edges break chips into smaller pieces. This reduces clogging and heat build-up, prolonging edge life.
Available in three sizes, with cut diameters ranging from 1/4" to 1/2". All are shanked to size.
Measurements given are cutting diameter by depth.
