The 2 1/2" dia. slitting saw mounts to the lathe spindle with a 1/2" arbor (sold separately). The saw is capable of cutting to a depth of 3/4", with a kerf of 0.032". The saw should be run at low speed with plenty of cutting lubricant to keep the blade cool.
