Tansu Plain 3-Side Corners

Tansu (the Japanese word for “trunk”) refers to a variety of trunks, chests, boxes and storage cabinetry popular in Japan from about 1650 to 1920. Combining the skills of the cabinetmaker, blacksmith and lacquer artist, Tansu can run the gamut from simple unadorned cabinetry to ornate chests using 100 or more pieces of hardware.

Suitable for smaller projects, these corners are made from 0.5mm thick steel and painted black. Leaf is 33mm long; strap width is 10mm.

They are mounted using escutcheon pins (not included).
