Outdoor/Wet Location White LED Tape Light Kits (12V)

Easy to install in a variety of locations (indoors, outdoors or in areas subject to moisture such as bathrooms and saunas), this LED tape lighting allows a broad range of design possibilities and is more energy efficient than conventional lighting. It permits a range of illumination from bright task lighting to subtle accents using the various controllers, dimmers, diffusers and other accessories offered separately.

The lighting is available in warm white (color temperature of 3000 kelvin) and natural white (4000 kelvin). Warm white lighting provides elegant, indirect lighting that complements wood tones, enriches colors and promotes relaxation. Natural white lighting is ideal for task or accent lighting and imparts a bright and clean modern look.

To allow a custom fit, the lighting can be cut with scissors at the nearest cut line, marked every few inches along its length, and is backed with a high-tack peel-and-stick adhesive that makes mounting easy.

The 30 LEDs per metre (9 LEDs per foot) density is a good choice for indirect accent lighting, where ambience is the primary purpose of the light. The 60 LEDs per metre (18 LEDs per foot) density provides brighter illumination and a more seamless output (given the greater density of LEDs).

The factory-assembled kit supplies an 8' (2.5m) roll of tape light, one splice connector for linking two tape segments, three wire-lead ready connectors (one to connect the lighting to circuit wire, and the other two, when joined by wire, to let you extend two sections of lighting around a corner), four lengths of weather-resistant shrink tubing for sealing joints and cut ends, and installation instructions.

The lighting requires a 12VDC power supply with enough wattage to suit the intended application and some wiring. While not required, you may want to add a dimmer or an on/off switch. For a more refined installation, we offer channels and diffusers separately.

All components are CSA, cETLus or cUL listed. The LEDs are rated to last, maintenance free, for 50,000 hours (equivalent to five hours per day for 27 years).

Tape lights can also be purchased in 32' (10m) rolls or in by-the-foot lengths.

These lights are compatible only with our 12V LED system and are not compatible with our 24V LED system.
