Rated for wet or dry conditions, this 1.2-watt LED light can be used anywhere you can drill a through-hole. Using the required color controller, the light can be set to any hue from a near-endless spectrum (including variations of white). This allows you to be creative with your lighting. It produces a 45° beam of about 80 lumens at maximum brightness.
Each light comes pre-wired with an 8" wire lead for direct hardwire connections; lights can be installed individually or linked in sequence using standard electrical wire and connectors (available separately). The lighting requires a 12V DC power supply with enough wattage to suit the intended application, as well as some wiring and a color controller. While not required, you may want to add an on/off switch.
The light fits into a 1 3/8" hole when used in rigid materials (wood or plastic) and into a 1 1/4" hole when used in drywall, secured by integral spring clips. An optional ring nut is available separately for thinner applications such as panel board, fiberglass or sheet metal.
Three 1 1/2" diameter round trim rings (white, black and brushed steel) that simply thread onto the light housing are supplied with each light. Each trim ring comes with a removable shield used to direct illumination, useful for path and wall lighting. The matte black and white trim rings are polycarbonate, and the die-cast aluminum ring has a brushed steel finish. The color-matched shields are polycarbonate.
The long-life LEDs provide years of maintenance-free lighting. All components are CSA, cETLus or cUL listed. Installation instructions included.
