This is a well-designed and ruggedly constructed lantern.
More than just a light source, it has two USB ports – a micro input for replenishing the 2600mAh lithium-ion battery (cord included) and a standard output for charging small electronics.
Emitting 314 lumens of light on its high setting, 75 on medium and 15 on low, it also has an amber LED mode to help preserve night vision. Compact and light enough to be easily carried in a backpack, it is 7" tall by 2 3/4" in diameter and weighs 9 oz.
The lantern has upper and lower cone-shaped reflectors to provide 360° of uniform illumination, and three brightness-control settings.
Impact and weather resistant, it has a strong ABS plastic housing with a rubberized coating, a shatterproof polycarbonate lens, a handle with a sprung stainless-steel gate for hanging, and a carrying bag made of translucent fabric that also serves as a light diffuser.
