Perhaps “unbreakable” is a bit aspirational here – but the DelGuard mechanical pencil with an “unbreakable lead” is the only 0.5mm lead pencil that deserves a place in everyone’s shop.
The secret is a double-sprung, patent-pending mechanism that allows the lead to retract under vertical load and extends the point sleeve to brace the lead under sideward loads – such as when you write at an angle. It just really works.
But yes – if you really try, you can break the lead.
