Although the same overall length as their Western counterparts, these Japanese carpenter's chisels have shorter blades and longer shoulders and tangs.
Of laminated steel construction, they have red oak handles fitted with pre-seated steel hoops and strong ferrules. Unlike many traditional Japanese chisels, these do not require hoop setting, as the hoops are pre-set and the handle ends are already properly mushroomed.
The chisels are available individually or as a basic set of five in a canvas tool roll containing sizes 6, 9, 12, 18 and 24mm.
As these chisels are hand forged, they may vary in size by ±1mm.
