Auriou Cabinetmaker's Rasps

Hand made in France, premium-quality Auriou rasps are more expensive than others, but the skill used in forging the blades and hand cutting (or stitching) the teeth ensures a superior result. The densely patterned teeth leave no scratch pattern, and the blades have tapered tips for a tight stroke to concentrate the cut over a small area.

While they can be characterized as half-round rasps, these cabinetmaker's rasps are for general shaping (cabriole legs, chair backs, etc.).

The flat side of the blade is slightly cambered to allow rasping a flat surface without digging in. Their right- or left-hand biased teeth allow you to make natural angled strokes without compromising cutting efficiency.

Comfortable walnut handles.
