48U0550 - Gränsfors Small Carving Axe
Hand forged in a small factory in Sweden, this axe was designed based on traditional Swedish carving techniques. With rounded lugs, sharply nipped shoulders and a slim blade section, the 1 lb head has a classic shape and a 3" double-bevel edge. The short, thick 10" oiled hickory handle permits a “choked-up” grip directly behind the cutting edge for control when shaping.
This axe has grace, heft and balance that reflect good design and craftsmanship. Comes with a grain leather sheath and is fully honed, ready for use.
