Cant Hook

Quantity:

A superb log-handling tool, this cant hook is similar to a log peavey in form and function, but in place of the spear-point tip, its short tooth-like hook grabs logs without piercing deeply and releases easily for repositioning. It permits significant leverage to help move even large timbers single-handedly, and its 8 1/2" hinged hook lets you use an efficient push-and-pull ratcheting action to roll logs without stooping.

The forged carbon-steel head is affixed to the ash handle with a 2 1/4" tapered socket and secured with a steel screw. 48 1/2" overall. Made in Eddington, Maine, by Peavey Manufacturing, a firm that has produced dependable tools for the timber and log-building trades since 1857.
