05N2301 - Bench Compass
 Made from solid machined components and weighing a substantial 8 1/2 oz, this compass has the sturdiness, size and precision needed for workshop use.
The point rotates on an eccentric axis, letting you adjust the radius by simply turning the point carrier. This means you can fine-tune the size of your circle without having to reset the 8" legs, which open to 8 3/4" and lock at any position with a brass knob and clamping bar. Brass thumbscrews hold the point carrier and a pencil firmly.
The compass is made in France; the hardened A2 steel point and stainless-steel point carrier are made in Canada. A superb layout tool.
