This is a tape measure that can take a beating. It has a rugged ABS case with a rubberized base for impact protection and to improve grip, and a nylon wear-resistant coating on the blade to protect the markings from abrasion. The coating also reduces glare to make measurements easier to read in harsh lighting. A positive locking mechanism with a large easy-to-operate slide holds measurements securely for transfer.
At 30' long overall, the 1" wide blade is rigid enough to extend 7' without buckling. Imperial markings graduated in 16ths, with feet and stud markers marked in red.
