About Veritas seconds: this stock of our scrub plane (05P3501) has some minor cosmetic flaws – a scratch, a pit in the casting or tiny blemishes – but the plane is functionally perfect. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.
The scrub plane is the tool of choice for major stock removal, the first step when flattening rough stock by hand. The blade edge is ground with a 3" radius, so it takes an aggressive cut and gives a distinctive, hand-worked texture to the workpiece.
