About Veritas seconds: this stock of our miniature shoulder plane (05P8001) has some minor cosmetic flaw – a scratch, a pit in the casting or tiny blemishes – but the plane is functionally perfect. Quantities of seconds are limited and expected to sell out quickly.

A miniature version of our medium shoulder plane that is fully functional and remarkably effective for fine trimming or cleaning the bottoms of narrow dadoes. It is surprisingly comfortable to hold, making it exceptionally easy to maneuver and control.

  • Weighs only 1.7 oz and is 2 1/2" long by 1/4" wide
  • Investment-cast stainless-steel body with a fixed mouth, machined sole and ground sides
  • 15° bed angle combined with the 25° blade bevel provides a 40° cutting angle
  • Supplied in a leatherette box
