Mini Ryoba Saw

This item is not available for this region.

If you find this saw irresistible when looking at a photo, just try holding it in your hands. Delicate in appearance only, this mini ryoba is a fully functional saw that just happens to be an approximately 1:4-scale version of its full-size counterpart.

Elegantly crafted for cutting in confined spaces and intricate work, it was designed by a Japanese sawmaker renowned for making saws for shrine and temple carpenters.

A combination rip and crosscut saw, it has 25 tpi crosscut on one edge and 13 tpi in a ripping pattern along the other, each cutting a 0.45mm kerf. The 2 3/8" long blade has been hardened to Rc52 and tapers in thickness from 0.26mm at the toe to 0.3mm thick closest to the haft, reducing the chances that the blade will bind in the kerf.

The paulownia handle is hand-wrapped with rattan. Made in Japan.

It can also be purchased with the mini kariwaku and dozuki saws as a set of three.
