Item 60T0315, Professional Dozuki Saw
  • 25 tpi Ikeda Tooth Pattern: Patented cutting rakers between the teeth reduce friction and clear waste efficiently, allowing the saw to cut quickly despite minimal tooth set.
  • Crisp 0.016" Kerf: The 0.011" thick blade cuts a 0.016" kerf in both hardwoods and softwoods – tight enough for precision joinery with very little waste.
  • Solid Brass Back: A solid brass spine adds rigidity and enough mass that you can focus on following the line rather than controlling cutting pressure.
  • Ideal Balance for Fine Work: At 21" overall with a 9" blade, the saw is sized for dovetails, tenons and other precision joinery where accuracy matters.
  • Replaceable Blade: A replacement blade that includes the brass back is available separately, extending the life of the saw.

Japanese craftsmen call the shoulder of a tenon "dozuki."

Although a good dozuki saw can be used for any fine work, it is particularly useful for dovetails and tenons where accuracy and a smooth cut are so important. The 0.011" thick blade with 25 tpi cuts quickly and leaves a clean, crisp 0.016" kerf in both hardwoods and softwoods.

The teeth have little set but, because of the patented cutting rakers, they still cut quickly. The solid brass back gives the saw rigidity and enough weight to allow the user to concentrate on the line, not cutting pressure.

Ideally balanced for fine work; it is 21" long with a 9" blade. Maximum cut depth is about 2". A replacement blade that includes the brass back is available.

For anyone who enjoys woodworking, this saw will quickly become indispensable.

Made in Japan.
