Made by Easy Wood Tools, this tool makes clean, well-defined cuts for parting off work between centers, as well as for forming deep channels or transitions.
The tip is made of durable carbide so it retains a sharp edge through long use; once it eventually shows signs of wear, it is easy to remove for replacement. The tip measures 1/8” wide at the cutting edge, with a slightly tapered shape for sidewall clearance, ensuring it won’t catch the work or round over the corners of the cut.
The tool is 20” long overall with a cut depth up to 2”, and has a stainless-steel shaft fitted with a copper ferrule for reinforcement. The stout maple handle has a stepped profile for secure grip. Comes with an extra carbide tip and the tool required to remove and install tips.
