Deep sweep roughing gouges are used to "rough" square stock into round before using more specialized tools for detail work.
These gouges are forged from a solid HSS bar.
The 3/4" gouge is 16 1/4" long overall with a 5 1/2" blade. The 1 1/2" gouge is 22 1/4" long overall with a 5" blade.
These are not for bowl turning.
