While this makes an excellent starter kit for anyone new to pyrography, it’s certainly not just for beginners. With all the tools needed to explore an array of wood-burning techniques, it consists entirely of good-quality, Canadian-made components that will continue to serve you well as you take on more advanced projects.
The included Razertip model SK solid-state power unit (10 amp, 45 watts) heats the tip in about 8 seconds, so you can switch tips as often as you like with little delay. It permits a temperature range from 340°F to 1400°F for use on various materials, and comes with a lightweight, vented handpiece with a large fixed tip (#1L) and a 39" cord. The kit also includes a second lightweight, vented handpiece that accepts a variety of interchangeable tips. It comes with a writing tip, a shading tip, a small round-end tip, a curved round-end tip, a small spear-point tip and a transfer/shader tip, covering a wide variety of lines and textures. The handpiece is compatible with any of the interchangeable tip sets or feathering tips that we offer separately, so you can easily expand the kit.
