Laced Danish Cord

This item is not available for this region.

A weaving material often associated with mid-century Danish Modern furniture design, this cord lets you create distinctive designs in woven chairs and chair seats.

Made of three plies of tough paper interwoven and twisted for added strength and wear resistance, the Danish cord we offer is produced by a company based in Denmark for nearly 200 years, though the cord is now manufactured only in Lithuania.

The plies of the laced cord are more tightly twisted than in the unlaced version (available separately), creating a distinct rope-like appearance and a more defined weave. The 3.5mm cord has a break strength of 74kg and comes in natural colored (200m spool) or black (100m spool).

L-shaped nails for new-seat construction are also available separately.
