Brass is a malleable metal that is easily drawn, blanked, stamped and sheared. It is an ideal shim material for adjusting jigs, fixtures and machinery, for spacing arbors, and correcting plane bodies and jointer bed alignments. Because of its ductility, it is also an excellent model-maker's accessory that readily accepts complex manipulation.
The material is available in six thicknesses: 0.001", 0.0015", 0.002", 0.003", 0.005" and 0.010" and sold in 6" × 60" rolls. We also offer a sampler package containing one 2" × 6" strip of each thickness. Made from half-hard brass, which resists compression yet can still be formed.
