For use in a drill press, this bearing-guided sanding drum is used to duplicate curved pieces such as matching furniture parts, signs, or other production work. It abrades the wood rather than cutting it, so there is no tear-out, even in figured woods or reversing grain. The phenolic disc follows the template, guiding the drum to shape your workpiece to the profile.
Not intended to remove large amounts of material, it works best on roughed-out forms cut to about 1/8" oversize. It has a 3/8" machined steel shank, a bronze bearing, and a 50-grit sanding sleeve mounted on a 1" dia. by 2" tall hard-rubber drum.
Maximum 2500 rpm. Replacement sleeves sold separately.
Made in USA.
