The Veritas pullshave comes with a wooden rear handle installed on a threaded steel stud. We developed this kit for those woodworkers who cannot resist the urge to customize their tools.
Anyone with basic turning skills and a lathe can make a custom replacement handle. Handle style is limited only by imagination, so those inclined to carve or use other freehand shaping techniques need not be confined solely to turned shapes.
The kit includes a brass washer, a hanger bolt, a hex bolt, a mandrel for lathe mounting and assembly, and detailed instructions – you just need to supply the wood.
